- normalise_denomination_symbol(symbol)
Normalise a denomination symbol without heuristic rewriting.
Only outer whitespace and letter case are normalised. Bridge suffixes and protocol prefixes remain meaningful and must be listed explicitly in the reviewed Python dictionary.
